New term, new music
We start our new term on Monday 3rd September and look forward to starting rehearsals for Bach’s Christmas Oratorio. New members very welcome for all singing parts. See rehearsal page for details.
only 2 Mondays left to rehearse…
The concert is getting closer and posters are going up around Ambleside and area. We think we know the music but there is still so much to learn and practice. We all learn in different ways and some of the sections have been getting together outside of main practice times to do some extra. Others of us have the music downloaded and play it every day on speakers or headphones just so the whole piece becomes familiar. Those with pianos work on separate sections that cause difficulty.
We get worried in the final two weeks but when we meet with the soloists and orchestra on the day of the concert, that is when we start to feel more confident.
Come and get your tickets – £12.00 from members or at the door (and it includes a glass of wine and some snacks)

Welcome to new members
Ambleside Choral now numbers well over 50 regular members with excellent turnout for rehearsals every Monday, colds and holidays permitting!
This term we have already welcomed three new sopranos making their section very strong and also helping them achieve the top As that appear in the Mozart.
New members are always welcome so come along and give us a try. Singing is without question good for the body and soul and singing in choral harmony is extremely uplifting.
