We are always happy to welcome new members to the choir. Please do contact us or come along and find out more about us. We are particularly keen to attract new tenor and bass voices. We do not ask for an audition.

We are happy for you to come along for a trial period to see if you would like to join. Singing is great for general health and wellbeing, so it is worth giving it a go! Please contact us and we can provide more information.
What can you expect?
We like to challenge ourselves with our repertoire, but it is a very supportive and friendly environment, and Marco, our Musical Director, guides us through the pieces so that we become really familiar with them. We learn about how to warm up, about technique, timing and dynamics and how to listen to each other and sing together.
While we do not expect sight-singing ability, members must be able follow their parts in a vocal score, so it is an advantage to be able to read music to at least a basic level. Although we do not hold auditions, we expect members to practise at home between rehearsals. We provide links to audio materials and our Musical Director gives guidance as to what we will be working on at the next rehearsal.

We have a range of musical experience and abilities in the choir so please do try it out and see how you get on. It is very rewarding to perform a concert in the church, often with a full orchestra and professional soloists.
Membership fees for a term are £50 (as of 2023). Singers may also be charged a small amount for hire of music scores and for a folder to use at the concert.
Rehearsals usually start on the first Monday of September (2024: 9th Sept) and run through to our Christmas concert, with a few weeks off before we start rehearsals for our Spring concert. We have a break for about 3 months over the summer.
